Northeastern’s global experiential learning opportunities are tailored to appeal to a wide range of preferences and interests, placing the world at your fingertips, from day 1 through to graduation.

  • Co-op

    Co-op is our most immersive experiential opportunity, with students completing an average of two to three co-ops before graduation. A full-time, monthslong professional work experience that positions you not just for a job, but for your future.

  • Co-op consulting

    Open to undergraduates and graduate students, co-op consulting is a part-time experiential learning opportunity that’s integrated into a semesterlong course entirely centered around working on a real-world project for a company or organization.

  • Dialogue of Civilizations

    Dialogues are faculty-led global learning experiences held during the summer that combine coursework, international travel, and cultural immersion.

  • Entrepreneurship

    You’ll find endless opportunities to explore entrepreneurship, from launching your own startup to immersing yourself in Northeastern’s vast entrepreneurship ecosystem.

  • Experiential PhD

    In all of our experiential PhD programs, you’ll have unique opportunities to take time outside of your research group to work in industry, government, or academia.

  • Experiential projects

    Available to all students, experiential projects are real-world assignments from companies and organizations that are integrated into your coursework. You’ll learn about the organization’s unique challenges and work to deliver a solution.

  • Experiential Treks

    Open to all undergraduate students, Experiential Treks are professional field trips and immersive learning experiences in which you gain insight into different career paths, and engage and network with professionals.

  • Kaleidoscope

    Kaleidoscope is a student-led initiative that supports and unites undergraduate clubs in the Khoury College of Computer Sciences, and helps build connections and access to resources across the broader university community.

  • London Scholars

    London Scholars is a yearlong program for first-year undergraduates, in which you begin your Northeastern experience at our London campus, before continuing your education in Boston as a matriculated student.

  • Medical simulations labs

    Open to healthcare and nursing students, medical simulation labs immerse you in the same real-world situations and processes that you’ll find in hospitals and other clinical settings.

  • Mosaic

    Mosaic is a peer-to-peer community of students who are innovators and passionate about entrepreneurship. This community provides services that help students start their own businesses, exchange ideas, and grow entrepreneurship opportunities across our campuses.

  • N.U.in

    N.U.in is a program in which you spend your first semester at Northeastern studying abroad at one of our many partner institutions alongside a group of other first-year students, before continuing your education in Boston in your second semester.
